Engineering Intern (Mt. Vernon, MO or Lafayette, IN)

Reyco Granning is currently seeking to fill an Engineering Intern position to be based in Mt. Vernon, MO.  This position will report to the Engineering Manager.  Duties will include designing and documenting suspension components and sub-assemblies for the powered vehicle, trailer, and/or light vehicle markets under the technical supervision of Design Engineering using SolidWorks CAD and PDM data management software.  As required, modify and update existing models, drawings, and documentation to support company needs; create and change Engineering drawings; create and update Bills of Material [BOM]; generate and complete Engineering Change Requests [ECRs]; participate in DFMEA development; support R&D Lab with testing and test fixture design; conduct cost reduction studies.

Project Engineer

Reyco Granning LLC has an opening for a Project Engineer for its Mt. Vernon production facility.  This position will report to the Engineering Manager.  This position is responsible for designing, testing, and documenting suspensions for the heavy-duty powered vehicle and trailer markets.  Uses SolidWorks and associated software in the design of suspension, steering, and driveline products, will set up and supervise tests, and work with suppliers, manufacturing, and customers to assure designs meet reliability, manufacturability, performance, and cost constraints.  May also supervise field installations of prototype suspensions, oversee testing at customer sites, and provide customer support as needed.

Responsibilities include designing of suspension/steering/driveline systems, sub-systems, and components; using SolidWorks and associated software to design; working with the team to develop innovative solutions to meet customer requirements; designing, testing, and supervising projects to completion; ensuring projects are completed on time; providing installation and maintenance manual input and review; adhering to Reyco Granning policies and work rules.  This position is responsible for assisting with new product installations and other duties as assigned by the manager. Program Launch Manager

Reyco Granning LLC has an opening for a Program Launch Manager for its Mt. Vernon production facility.  This position will report to the VP of Engineering and has the ultimate responsibility for all Product Development, Validation, and Launch activities associated with new product development and introduction to the market by applying APQP methodologies. Responsibilities include creating and upholding program timing and planning as a part of the Reyco Granning Synchronized Solution Development (SSD) Gate Review process, including coordinating day-to-day program activities based on customer expectations as well as internal & industry standards.  This position will be responsible for estimating, tracking, and meeting both project and product cost targets; leading and effectively communicating to a cross-functional team consisting of Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Quality.

This position will be expected to effectively communicate program status and risks on a timely basis to the executive team consisting of the President and Vice Presidents, overseeing all functions to ensure that cost, timing, and performance targets are met.  Responsibilities include ensuring that the business and customers are ready for the product launch into production and the product can be installed and serviced properly; coordinating program launch task assignments and communicating risks associated with cost, timing and performance pro-actively; ensuring that all business functions provide deliverables as defined, on time, and that product validation is executed as per the approved DVP&R.  Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time and adapt as necessary in a changing environment.  Apply critical thinking, problem-solving techniques and risk mitigation methodologies.  To provide monthly program status updates to the executive management team and execute product requirement and performance verification as defined by the customer and inputs from the application sheet. Production Scheduler

Reyco Granning LLC has an opening for a Production Scheduler for its Mt. Vernon production facility.  This position will report to the Master Scheduler and is primarily responsible for review of customer orders and the resulting scheduling of manufacturing orders. Responsibilities include reviewing customer orders; scheduling work centers; releasing manufacturing orders; maintaining daily inventory reports; attending planning/ review meetings as needed; system maintenance as needed; providing any needed assistance to maintain production flow. Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Reyco Granning LLC has an opening for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for its Mt. Vernon production facility.  This position will report to the VP of Supply Chain and is primarily responsible for developing and managing strategies for key commodities within the business.  As the Strategic Sourcing Specialist, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development of a Strategic Sourcing Group to support the growing needs of the business to become more strategic in vendor selection and vendor management.  This position will support the execution of category management, product development, and contracting and supplier management activities across various product categories within the product offering.

Responsibilities include managing supplier performance through supplier report cards, risk assessments, and vendor due diligence; delivering KPIs in the areas of cost savings, landed cost assessments, and cash flow improvements; tracking and reporting measurements such as cost reduction, output, and turn-around time; establishing strong relationships with key strategic vendors and leverage fact-based negotiation tactics to secure spend under contract; preparing and send RFQ/RFI for commodity/procurement projects as needed; partnering with engineering, product management, materials, and quality teams to support new product introductions; directing and assisting in the importation of component and commodity product; understanding strategies for assigned programs and proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives.; performing other duties and specific projects as assigned.

Must possess analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem-solving skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities; the ability to plan strategically and implement long-term initiatives.  Must possess the initiative and tenacity re continued follow-up.  Proficient computer skills are a must along with MRP and ERP experience.  Five or more years of related experience in purchasing, sourcing, and/or product development in a manufacturing environment preferred.  Previous Project Management is considered a plus.  Up to 25% travel may be required, including outside the U.S.

Buyer/Planner

Vernon production facility.  This position will report to the Purchasing Manager and is primarily responsible for coordinating company purchases of required inventory while managing physical and/or digital purchasing records; maintaining accurate records of current and prospective suppliers related documents and their performance; working to remove costs where possible and/or consolidate supplier requirements; may also be required to purchase other goods, supplies, and services.

Sr. Project Engineer (Mt. Vernon, MO or Lafayette, IN)

Reyco Granning is currently seeking to fill an opening for a Sr. Project Engineer to be based in Mt. Manufacturing Engineer

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Mt. Vernon production facility.  This position is responsible for providing Technical & Engineering support for all Reyco Granning manufacturing value streams. This position drives improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost by utilizing continuous improvement, project management, problem-solving, and working with internal and external resources.

This position requires a BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degrees will be considered.  Necessary experience includes AutoCAD SolidWorks or equivalent applications, demonstrated Lean/CI hands-on experiences, demonstrated Six Sigma / DMAIC problem-solving experiences, demonstrated project/program management experiences.  Must be a technical problem solver who enjoys working with or training others; must possess mechanical and machining expertise with a demonstrated history of success.  Must have CNC programming experience, prototype, and new program support experience. This position is responsible for operating CNC, Laser, Drills, and various other machines. Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools. Machine parts as necessary to meet production standards. Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches, and various gauges, and other tools. Perform source inspection using a traveling check sheet on every unit. Perform daily TPM. Uses stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns. Performs daily duties per work instructions/standard work. Completes all daily data collection as established. Must perform daily 5S activities, use LEAN efforts, and work as a team. Must be able to read blueprints. Must have a good understanding of inventory control. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must have or be able to obtain a fork truck license. Must recognize the importance of working in a safe manner. Ability to understand what constitutes quality products. Possess basic math skills. Average or above-average skills in numeric and visual recall. Must be computer literate. Requires high school diploma or GED. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures. Must have excellent work history and provide work references. Machining experience preferred.
