Quality Manager

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking a Quality Manager for its Mt. Vernon manufacturing unit. This position will report to the Vice President of Manufacturing.

This position will plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.  Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.  Devise sampling procedures and design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.  Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment.  Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devise methods to assess cost and solve root cause.  Supervise and direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.  Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality assurance activities. Provide leadership in transforming the quality management system across Reyco Granning.

This position requires a four (4) year degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience, prior experience with supplier quality, in process improvement, error proofing, DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, process flow diagrams and lean manufacturing. Strong statistical background, customer orientation and ISO 9000 PPAP experience are required, with Six Sigma Black belt training, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO and/or other quality management systems background being preferred.

Press Operator (Overlap Shift 11 am – 7 pm)

This position requires setting up different dies and shears to produce a variety of parts according to blueprint specifications while meeting the production standard. Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools. Experience is preferred. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Manufacturing Supervisor

Reyco Granning, LLC has an opening for a 1st shift Manufacturing Supervisor.  This position reports to the Plant Production Superintendent and provides overall supervision of direct and indirect employees within the assigned production area. The supervisor manages the department to accomplish effective setup, run and completion of quality products, the completion of required documentation, preventive maintenance of equipment and housekeeping in their area.  This position makes decisions based on the priority of safety first, quality second, delivery third and continuous improvement fourth.

This position requires the drive to provide a safe working environment for employees, a strong bias for quality, a commitment to customer satisfaction, strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and excellent problem solving skills.  The successful applicant will have a good understanding of P&L financials and adaptability to change associated with LEAN efforts.  A minimum of five years manufacturing experience and a high school diploma is required.  A college degree is preferred.

Project Engineer

Reyco Granning is currently seeking to fill an opening for a Project Engineer to be based in Lafayette.  This position is responsible for designing, testing and documenting suspensions for the heavy duty powered vehicle and trailer markets.

This position requires a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree, two to five years’ experience in product design (preferably vehicular suspensions), with experience in 3D modeling and Finite Element Analysis.

Must possess excellent problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills, attention to details, good computer skills (Fourth Shift, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word, SolidWorks or equivalent systems), be versed in DFMEA, DVP and 8D tools.  Must also be able to work on multiple projects at one time.

This position is responsible for performing process audits, inspections of parts and materials, problem solving analysis, and functional tests as required.  Must have good math and computer skills, as well as strong attention to detail.  Must be able to use mics, calipers and other measuring tools. Validation Engineer

Reyco Granning is currently seeking to fill an opening for a Validation Engineer based in Mt. Vernon, MO.  This position reports to the V.P. of Engineering and will be responsible to validate suspension designing by establishing test methods, develop test fixtures and execute testing.  This includes data acquisition, benchmarking and data analysis in support of new product designs and dynamic modeling validation, with test conclusions, documented results in test logs and technical reports.

Responsibilities include: data acquisition, benchmarking and data analysis in support of new product designs and dynamic modeling validation, with test conclusions, documented results in test logs and technical reports; validation of bench test results such as cycles/miles to failure, frequency response, strain/stress response, etc.  This position will provide leadership for data acquisition in the laboratory, proving grounds, and field, with the support of laboratory technicians; develop/specify new test techniques and technologies and document these as released engineering procedures; will also design, develop and acquire new test fixtures and equipment; validates test boundary conditions through the use of appropriate test-analysis modeling; develop load transducers, ride and handling equipment, etc.; lead training of technicians for standard application of engineering procedures and assure compliance to such standards, reducing data, developing test conclusions and reporting results in test logs. Support ride and handling tuning, development and troubleshooting working with new product engineering teams., including material acquisition, vehicle and equipment planning, coordination with vendors, etc.

This position requires:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Three (3) – five (5) years of experience working in a test-bench and vehicle level test environment, performing testing, data capture and analysis (preferably heavy or medium duty truck) with experience in fatigue analysis, and vehicle handling analysis.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, and project management experience required.
  • Hands-on work involved with testing and installations
  • Travel (potential of 20%)

District Sales Manager

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking a District Sales Manager to cover the Southeast Region of the U.S.  This position will report to the Director of Powered Vehicle.

This position will be responsible for selling Reyco Granning products and solutions to assigned accounts in the territory, meeting or exceeding sales quota, key performance indicators and gross margin objectives.  Will establish and maintain relationships with trailer OEMs assigned in the territory. Log and track interaction with customers when appropriate.  Uses industry, customer and product knowledge to provide solutions to help solve customer business problems and book new business.  Provides an informed, effective link to other Reyco Granning departments to communicate feedback and future customer requirements.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.  Must have a minimum of five (5) years of inside or field sales experience, transportation industry experience, and a demonstrated problem solving ability. Strong people skills with ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written required. Must provide own transportation for travel within the territory and be able to drive for extended periods of time.  Extensive overnight travel approximately 75% of the time.

1st Shift Shipping (2 Openings)

This  position require a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods of time. Ability to load/unload trucks, load/unload paint line, and possible painting, ability to read blueprints, understand inventory control, assemble, pick, pack, palletize, label and ship customer orders.

Work involves assembling parts, must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and different types of gauges, perform first, last and in-process inspections. Ability to select correct part & quantity of parts per customer order using bar code gun, pack items in correct size box, load boxed parts on pallet, (one order per pallet), stretch wrap, ticket and ship customer orders based on customer needs and meet the production standard. Pick parts from inventory and deliver to appropriate department as needed.

Must be able to follow written and verbal directions. Have or obtain a fork truck license. Must have excellent work history and provide work references. Experience is preferred.

National Account Manager

Reyco Granning is currently seeking to fill an opening for a National Account Manager to be designated to a specific customer.  This position will report to the Director of Powered Vehicles, and will be responsible for selling Reyco Granning Power Vehicle products and solutions to assigned accounts consistent with the PV sales plan and GM goals.  The National Account Manager establishes and maintains relationships with OEMs, aftermarket and key distributors and uses industry knowledge to provide best suspension solutions. Provides an informed, effective link to other Reyco Granning departments in order to communicate feedback and future customer requirements.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field; at least ten (10) years of field sales experience in the transportation industry.  Must have a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with customer top level management and partner with them to understand their business challenges.  Must also have demonstrated strategic thinking and negotiation skills, leadership, sales and project management abilities and the ability to conceptualize solutions that will enhance the customers’ business.  Extensive sales experience (OEM) in suspension or heavy truck industry important.

Physical demands involve extensive overnight travel. (80%)

Weld (1st Shift)

This position performs welding maintenance, repair, fabrication and construction on heavy duty suspensions. This position not only performs manual welding, but also robotic weld duties. Successful candidate must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics and other types of gauges, as well as perform first, last and in-process inspections. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and candidates must also have attended a Vo-Tech or post graduate welding school, or have attained like experience as a welder with a minimum of one year experience welding. Candidate must demonstrate good basic weld skills and pass a weld test consisting of straight lines, circles, double pass, triple pass and achieve good weld penetration. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in extreme temperatures and to stand for long periods of time. Weld certification is required, and at least one year of experience is preferred. Must have excellent work history and provide work references.

This position requires a BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.  Experience requirements include ISO 9000 / PPAP requirements, prior experience in process improvement, error proofing, DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, process flow diagrams, and lean manufacturing.  Must have a strong statistical background.  Strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement, strong ISO and/or other quality management systems and Six Sigma Black belt are preferred.

Physical demands include the ability to stand / walk in excess of eight (8) hours per day, to work in plant temperatures ranging from 65 – 105 degrees, and lifting up to 45 pounds infrequently.
