Field Service Technician

Reyco Granning is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to be based in Mt. Vernon, MO.  This position will report to the Field Service/Warranty Manager and will work with Reyco Granning’s OE customers, OE dealers and owners of products (RV, fire trucks, etc.) in resolving field related issues.  Duties include executing product inspections and repairs in the field, working with product teams to develop innovative solutions to meet customer requirements, ensuring tasks are completed on time, communicating field issues to the Field Service/Warranty Manager, providing installation and maintenance manual design input to the Field Service/Warranty Manager and any other duties as assigned.

The candidate must have excellent mechanical abilities as related to vehicle steering and suspension systems; the ability to use various hand tools to repair medium and heavy-duty truck and RV steering, suspension and wheel-end assemblies; good written and verbal communication skills; experience working with customers and prospective customers in a consultative manner.  Computer skills such as MS Excel, Work and Outlook is helpful.  Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering detail and assembly drawings, technical service bulletins, and standards. This position requires a high school diploma or GED with technical training or degree preferred. Requirements include a minimum of three years of industry experience; a working knowledge of medium and heavy-duty suspension and steering systems; medium and heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair experience; customer development, direct sales or customer service experience preferred; training in a classroom or shop environment

Production Scheduler

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking a Production Scheduler for its Mt. Vernon production facility.   This position will report to the Master Scheduler and is primarily responsible for review of customer orders and the resulting scheduling of manufacturing orders. This position is responsible for reviewing customer orders, scheduling work centers, releasing manufacturing orders, maintaining daily inventory reports, performing system maintenance as needed, attends planning and review meetings as needed and provides any needed assistance to maintain production flow.

This position requires 2 years of experience with demand review and supply scheduling along with a minimum of 1-year experience with a Business Enterprise System such as SAP, 4th Shift, Great Plains, JD Edwards, Oracle, etc.  Must be proficient in MS Office applications.  Must have eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively. High School diploma or GED required.  College education in business, operations management, or supply chain management preferred. Must have the ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Engineering Manager

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking to fill an opening for an Engineering Manager for its Mt. Vernon production facility.  This position will report to the VP of Engineering.  This position manages engineering functions within the Engineering Department; manages engineering personnel; focuses on and achieves goals consistent with the Engineering Department business plan; creates innovative and cost-effective budgets for the target market; updates current products for various new applications; manages engineering function consistent with Reyco Granning policies and practices.

Responsibilities include uses SolidWorks / SolidWorks Simulation to design suspensions; responsible for design of suspension systems; works with team to develop innovative solutions to customer requirements; designs tests and supervises their completion; ensures projects are completed on time; administers Reyco Granning policies and work rules; responsible for development and publishing of Installation and Maintenance manuals; develop and apply best practices to position the Engineering Team to execute quickly and efficiently; drive engineering cost reductions, efficiencies and improvements consistent with Reyco Granning and the company goals and objectives.  This position will work with sales and marketing to enhance product offerings; participate in frequent sales and customer discussions to determine and document customer requirements; mentor and lead a highly productive and enthusiastic engineering team; liaise with customer rep and engineering.

Requirements include 3D modeling experience; experience in Finite Element Analysis; five years successful and progressively responsible engineering and product development experience.  Must possess excellent communication skills; good computer skills:  Fourth Shift, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, MS Word, Solid Works, Cosmos works or equivalent systems; ability to work on multiple projects at one time; attention to details. The candidate must be knowledgeable about the medium/heavy duty truck/RV markets or the heavy-duty trailer market.  Two to five years engineering management and two to five years’ experience in the design of vehicle suspensions is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required (others will be considered).

Senior Project Engineer

Reyco Granning is currently seeking to fill an opening for a Sr. Project Engineer to be based in either Mt. Vernon, MO, or Lafayette, IN.  This position will report to the Engineering Manager.  This position is responsible for designing, testing and documenting suspensions for medium and heavy-duty powered vehicles. This position will use SolidWorks 3D CAD, Altair FEA and Simulation for the design of product and is responsible for the set up and supervision of testing. This position will work with suppliers, the manufacturing team, sales team and customers to ensure the design meets functional, reliability, manufacturability and cost requirements. This person must be able to function within a program team, matrix managed environment and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.  May also be responsible for field installations of prototypes and oversee testing at customer sites, providing customer support as necessary.

Responsibilities include the design of vehicle suspension systems or sub-systems.  Will collaboratively work to develop innovative solutions in response to customer requirements; design product tests and supervise through completion; authors / provide input to / review installation and maintenance manuals; ensure that projects are completed on time.  Will perform duties according to Reyco Granning LLC policies and procedures; other projects or duties as assigned.  Hands-on work involved with testing and installations.

Must be self-motivated, driven with the ability to analyze data; result oriented with solid technical background.  Must possess strong communication skills; demonstrated problem solving skills with attention to detail; adaptability, with demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at one time; good computer skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, 3D CAD (SolidWorks),FEA and Simulation;  the ability to work well alone and with others, with strong leadership skills; adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment.

This position requires five to ten years’ in design of vehicle suspension systems, experience in 3D modeling, Structural analysis, APQP processes, Finite Element Analysis.  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required. Travel potential of 10%.

Quality Management System Engineer

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking to fill an opening for the Quality Management System Engineer for its Mt. Vernon production facility.  This position will report to the VP of Manufacturing.  This position is to drive activities concerned with development, application, maintenance & improvement of quality Management System (ISO, IATF etc.); develop and improve standards and methods for all elements of the Quality management system (such as Gauge Management system, process documentation, internal ISO/IATF audit etc.); devise procedures and forms for all supporting Quality Mgt. system processes; utilize root cause analysis to address all gaps discovered during internal & external quality management audits; participate and support in root cause analysis activities to address external and internal quality related problems; support team members engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability; compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality management system; provide leadership in transforming quality management system across Reyco Granning.

Responsibilities include following policies and procedures to insure quality standards are met; supports quality auditors’ efforts; works with customers and customer service to address product/process related quality concerns with focus on insuring actual processes are consistent with documented procedures; lead root cause analysis effort to determine corrective actions to address internal and external quality mgt. system concerns; assists in the establishment of the quality control system, identifying critical control points in the manufacturing process, error proofing needed, and identifying sampling plans; interacts as needed with operations, maintenance, sales, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, and warranty/service; drives quality improvement as part of everyday efforts; train internal quality mgt. system auditors; provides leadership for Quality auditors.

Four-year Quality Engineering degree or related required.  Qualifications include strong problem-solving background; strong statistical background; Six Sigma Green / Black belt training preferred; strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement preferred; exposure to ISO &/or other quality Mgt. systems preferred; Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred; customer orientation required.  Experience requirements include exposure to ISO 9000/PPAP requirements and processes preferred; prior experience with in process improvement, error proofing, DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, process flow diagrams, and lean manufacturing.  Physical demands include the ability to stand/walk in excess of 8 hours per day; ability to work in plant temperatures of 65 – 105 degrees; ability to lift up to 45 pounds infrequently.

Regional Sales Manager – Central

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking to fill an opening for the Regional Sales Manager – Central.  This position will report to the Director of Sales (Regional).  This position is to achieve profitable sales, objectives by growing current customer sales volume, winning new customers, and providing data and marketplace feedback in the suspension, and LD, MD, HD on highway and off highway marketplace.

Responsibilities include adhering to and demonstrating the company’s core values on a daily basis; identifying and pursuing sales opportunities; growing and maintain customer base to meet or exceed individual and team sales goals (cultivates and maintains long term), professional relationships with customers with the intent to grow sales and help customer achieve their growth objectives; maintains the company’s product competitiveness via market and customer research and provides ongoing sales support for customers; processes customer requests and orders; maintains a focused travel schedule to win new business opportunities; attends an participates in trade shows to effectively and appropriately represent Reyco Granning and its products; sells system solutions instead, coordinates with the appropriate departments to quickly resolve customer issues/concerns; assists customers with general requests, needs and account maintenance and training; completes and submits daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales report in a timely manner; conducts cold calls in a targeted sales effort; carries out all other duties as assigned; works with outside sales representatives and provides them with support and training where needed.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience; minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales/customer service required; proven track record for meeting and exceeding company sales goals; working knowledge of account management solutions preferred; Bi-lingual is a plus. This position requires the ability to operate a telephone, computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, scanner and any other office equipment.  Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Must be able to travel, sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.

The candidate will work out of a home office in the Chicago land region: within 120-mile radius of Chicago, IL.  Travel via car and airplane required; must live near an airport; approximately 75-80% travel per month; minimum 15 days per month, must provide own transportation for travel within territory.  Reimbursement for travel incurred on the company’s behalf will be made in accordance with the travel and entertainment policy.  This position will service MN, IA, WI, IL, MI, IN, OH, and KY.  This position is generally located in an office environment but will require employee to engage in activities within a warehouse or manufacturing environment for limited periods of time.

Press Line Operator 2nd Shift 3p-11p

This position requires setting up stamping presses, different dies and shears to produce a variety of parts according to blueprint specifications while meeting the production standard.  Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools, possess basic math skills, and read blueprints.  Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and various gauges, and other tools.  Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.  Perform source inspection using traveling check sheet and perform daily TPM and daily duties per work instructions/standard work.  Use stop line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns; complete daily data collection, and perform 5S activities.  Must have good understanding of inventory control and what constitutes quality products, and recognize the importance of working in a safe manner.  Must be computer literate.  Must possess average or above average skills in numeric and visual recall.  Must be able to obtain forktruck license.  This position requires a high school diploma or GED.  Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in extreme temperatures and to stand for long periods of time.  Must have excellent work history and provide work references.  Stamping experience is preferred.
