Senior Project Engineer (Position available in MO or IN)

This position is responsible for designing, testing, and documenting drivetrain and suspension units for the heavy duty powered vehicle and trailer markets and is to be based in either Mt. Vernon, MO, or Lafayette, IN.  Uses SolidWorks and associated software in the design of drivetrain and suspension products, will help develop and supervise tests, and work with suppliers, manufacturing, and customers to assure designs meet reliability, manufacturability, performance and cost constraints.  May also supervise field installations of prototype drivetrain and suspension units, oversee testing at customer sites, and provide customer support as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design of drivetrain and suspension systems and components
  • Use of SolidWorks and other software to design suspension and drivetrain systems
  • Work with team to develop innovative solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Design, test, and supervise projects to completion
  • Ensure projects meet customer requirements and are completed on time
  • Provides installation and maintenance manual input and review
  • Responsible for assisting with new product installations
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
  • Adheres to Reyco Granning policies and work rules
Qualifications

Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PDF Editor, SolidWorks, PDM, and MRP Systems
  • Familiar with  DFMEA, DVP, and APQP Processes
  • Knowledge of driveline and gear design
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team setting
  • Attention to detail, and design quality
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with related Automotive / Drivetrain / Suspension emphasis, or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

  • 3D modeling experience with SolidWorks experience preferred
  • Five plus years of experience in design of production vehicle drivetrain (mechanical) with suspension experience preferred
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis, topology optimization, casting design, power transmission design

Physical Demands:

  • Needs to be hands on and assist in test set-up and prototype installations
  • Some travel required (10%)
  • Ability to use common mechanic / shop tools

Regional Sales Manager – Western

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking to fill an opening for the Regional Sales Manager – Western.  This position will report to the Director of Sales.  This position is to achieve Profitable sales, objectives by growing current customer sales volume, winning new customers, and providing data and marketplace feedback in the Suspension, and LD, MD, HD on highway and off highway marketplace.

Responsibilities include adhering to and demonstrating the company’s core values on a daily basis; identifying and pursuing sales opportunities; growing and maintain customer base to meet or exceed individual and team sales goals (cultivates and maintains long term), professional relationships with customers with the intent to grow sales and help customer achieve their growth objectives; maintains the company’s product competitiveness via market and customer research and provides ongoing sales support for customers; processes customer requests and orders; maintains a focused travel schedule to win new business opportunities; attends an participates in Trade Shows to effectively and appropriately represent Reyco Granning and its products; sells system solutions instead, coordinates with the appropriate departments to quickly resolve customer issues/concerns; assists customers with general requests, needs and account maintenance and training; completes and submits daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales report in a timely manner; conducts cold calls in a targeted sales effort; carries out all other duties as assigned; works with outside sales representatives and provides them with support and training where needed.

Requirements include the ability to achieve sales and profitability objectives; must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be an articulate communicator (both verbal and written, i.e. e-mail, word, etc.); able and willing to work as an individual contributor and as part of a high-performance team; possess the ability to work well with others toward a shared goal while meeting customer needs; possess the proven ability to sell and upsell.  Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and possess attention to detail and the ability to quickly and effectively resolve problems.  Must possess the ability to effectively manage your time and prioritize work as necessary; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience; minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales/customer service required; proven track record for meeting and exceeding company sales goals; working knowledge of account management solutions preferred; Bi-lingual is a plus. This position requires the ability to operate a telephone, computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, scanner and any other office equipment.  Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Must be able to travel, sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.

Travel via car and airplane required; must live near an airport; approximately 75-80% travel per month; minimum 15 days per month, must provide own transportation for travel within territory.  This position will service AZ, CA, ID, NV, OR, UT, WA, AK, and HI.  This position is generally located in an office environment but will require employee to engage in activities within a warehouse or manufacturing environment for limited periods of time.
