Director of Quality

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking a Director of Quality for its Mt. Vernon, MO production facility. This position will report to the President. The Director of Quality will drive activities concerned with development, application, maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), presently IATF 16949, along with directing supplier quality personnel to ensure conformance of inbound materials, directing production quality personnel to ensure conformance of outbound products and directing (dotted line) the IATF Program Manager (leader of cross-functional IATF team) in successful execution of audits and certifications.  This position is to collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team on continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and provide leadership in transforming the Quality Management System and product quality across Reyco Granning.

Responsibilities include working with the IATF Team to develop and improve procedures and forms for all supporting Quality Management System processes; utilizing root cause analysis (Practical Problem Solving or 8D) to address all gaps discovered during internal and external Quality Management audits; participating and supporting root cause analysis (Practical Problem Solving or 8D) to address external and internal quality related problems; using dFMEA and pFMEA tools to determine where the risks are.  This position is to actively lead initiatives to lower those risks and protect Reyco from field exposure associated with non-conformance along with establishing quality control plans and using dFMEA and pFMEA, identifying critical control points where poka-yoke is required and/or data collection is necessary; identifying and executing sampling plans; proactively reducing the frequency and costs of control plans as risk levels are lowered. 

The Director of Quality is to lead team members engaged in measuring, testing, and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability; manage gauges and actively seek cost reduction as it relates to gauge acquisition, maintenance and calibration; follow policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met; provide leadership and training for quality auditors; work with customers and customer service to address product/process related quality concerns with focus on ensuring practices are consistent with documented procedures; work closely as needed with production operators, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, sales, engineering, warranty/service, and supply chain along with driving quality improvement as part of everyday efforts.

Qualifications include experience in a fabrication, machining, or assembly facility; demonstrated problem solving skill set and experience; direct experience with IATF or ISO Quality Management Systems; strong statistical background; demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience; proven continuous improvement experience; customer orientation required.  Six Sigma Green / Black belt certification and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) strongly preferred.

Experience working in an IATF 16949 or ISO 9000 facility along with experience in process improvement, error proofing, dFMEA, pFMEA, APQP, control plans, process flow diagrams, and lean manufacturing are required. This position requires a four-year Quality Engineering degree or related. Physical demands include the ability to stand/walk more than 8 hours per day, the ability to work in plant temperatures of 65 – 105 degrees and to be able to lift up to 45 pounds infrequently.

Manufacturing Supervisor

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for its Mt. Vernon, MO production facility.  This position will report to the Director of Manufacturing and will be responsible for the labor performance of assigned production areas and provides overall supervision of assigned direct and indirect employees. 

Supervisors manage production labor to accomplish effective setup, run, and completion of product to standard quality and standard time; enforce company policy, labor agreements, 5S conditions, and product, process, and equipment standards;  responsible for the initial training, cross-training, and deployment of the labor to support the work centers in their area; responsible for meeting internal delivery and external ship dates; makes decisions based on the priority of safety first, quality second, delivery third, and continuous improvement fourth.

Responsibilities include executing production to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards; communicating and enforcing standards and policies to team members in area assigned; supervising employees to make sure work is completed and time is best utilized; tracking and reporting labor performance, utilization, and downtime across all work centers in area; reporting safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics at production reviews and other meetings; generating and distributing daily past due list and upcoming orders list; enforcing the completion of hour-by-hour data collection with accurate reasons for missed rates; problem-solving labor-related downtime and unmet rates with effective sustainable countermeasures; supporting the implementation of OEE and other performance metrics across all work centers; owning the performance leg of OEE calculation for all assigned work centers; leading and coaching team members in improving overall performance of assigned work centers; leading and coaching team members in practical problem solving (PPS) and error proofing; demonstrating working knowledge and understanding of processes in assigned work centers; managing the smooth transition of production between shifts; executing timely disciplinary action according to company policy and labor agreement along with managing the initial on-board training of direct and indirect labor. 

Essential duties include managing the cross-training of operators to mitigate risk and meet department goals; developing succession plans for team leads and establish well-trained designated backups; completing safety incident reports and submitting to HR within 24 hours of injury for both OSHA recordables and near misses; working with operators, leads, and supporting team to identify and implement safety improvements; requesting ordering of indirect material and supplies as needed through purchase requisitions; managing the timely completion of Material Review Board (MRB) of questionable and nonconforming material; investigating and countermeasures labor-related scrap and lost parts issues; managing the completion of accurate and timely inventory transactions for all manufacturing work completed; enforcing the daily completion of total productive maintenance (TPM) at all work centers; supporting development and implementation of the TPM process across all workstations along with supporting the resources needed for preventative maintenance, repairs, and other maintenance activities; supporting  technical team with resources needed for new product launches, engineering changes, process documents, standard development, and other improvement activities; supporting technical team with resources needed for error proofing, process capability, inspections, PPAPs, MSAs, gauge calibration, and other quality activities; participating in layered process audits, fire extinguisher audits, part identification audits, and other audits as assigned; assisting technical team in implementation of capital projects and cost-reduction projects; enforcing and demonstrating standards outlined in Quality Management System (QMS); managing employee timecards, call-ins, and absenteeism.  The Manufacturing Supervisor is to open and close the facility on days needed to support production; serve as a backup to shipping coordinator tasks; verify set ups and confirm parts to print; promote lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices and strive every day to continuously improve through the elimination of waste.

Qualifications include a strong desire to meet performance standards and exceed targets. Skill requirements include print reading; the ability to use measurement tools for part verification along with the ability to assist in tool/cutter selection and evaluation; lean manufacturing principle applications. Microsoft Office experience required (primary Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

Welding experience preferred (for those who will be assigned to weld processes); CNC programing experience preferred (for those who will be assigned to CNC areas); robotic programming experience preferred (for those who will be assigned to robotic areas); logistics experience preferred (for those who will be assigned to shipping); mechanical or industrial experience preferred (for those who will be assigned to assembly).

Technical degree is preferred. Five plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment and a high school diploma is required. 

Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, the ability to stand for long periods of time along with the ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures.

MIS System Analyst

Reyco Granning, LLC has an opening at its Mt. Vernon, MO production facility for a MIS System Analyst. This position will report to the MIS System Administrator.

This position will be responsible for the development, maintenance and user support of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) reporting.  Provides internal consulting, real world experience and expertise in the field of ERP processes and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).  Maintain and update local website; analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems; review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations; provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, operating systems and hardware. Requires effective interaction at all levels to determine business needs and solutions.  Ability to proactively communicate issues and solutions and to manage time effectively is critical.  Possesses a sound knowledge of the process flow throughout all aspects of business, to include but not limited to:  Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain.  Assist System Administrator as required. The MIS System Analyst is to provide technical assistance to users including creating ad-hoc reports, performing data analysis and correction, training and problem solving and is responsible for the maintenance of Computer and Peripheral equipment.

Duties include Electronic Data Interchange and development to include mapping transactions; develop/redesign reports using Crystal Report, Microsoft Reporting services, develop queries of the Microsoft SQL; document business process flows and needs and develop ERP solutions as needed; provide connectivity within the ERP system to reflect business needs within all modules including GL, AR, AP, Forecasting, Master Scheduling, Planning, Customer Order Entry, Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, Materials Management and Operations.

Qualifications include proficiency in the use and installation of Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of structured programming techniques, networking and database methodologies preferred; advanced skills and experience in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation and report presentation.

The candidate must have the ability to communicate, motivate, and organize projects among a broad spectrum of company personnel along with the ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information with integrity. Knowledge of personal computers and PC applications and development software is desirable.  

Experience with SAP is considered a plus.  Experience requirements include troubleshooting and repair of desktop systems; Microsoft SQL report design and development; PHP programming language and Apache server operations; experience with local website administration; experience with User Support/ Help Desk environment; experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems; experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows based workstations; general knowledge of network communications including: 802.11, TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS; demonstrated experience of ERP implementation, maintenance and support.

This position requires an associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience. Bachelors’ Degree and Microsoft or Cisco Certification preferred. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in systems analysis and/or programming required; experience in manufacturing information systems environment preferred. ERP system implementation, experience with Fourth Shift ERP and/or Sterling Commerce Gentran Server systems. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Senior Accountant

Reyco Granning, LLC has an opening at its Mt. Vernon, MO production facility for a Senior Accountant. This position will report to The VP of Finance. This position provides analysis to senior management in the areas of cash management, payroll, insurance, income statement, and balance sheet accounts. 

Responsibilities include supervision of daily accounting (general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, receivable and cash management) functions; ensuring accounting controls are in place and comply with GAAP standards; daily cash reconciliation and related journal entries supervision; accounts payable and receivable supervision; updating senior management of outstanding accounts receivable customers; ensuring weekly accounts payable check runs meet all controls policies.  Duties include general ledger reconciliation; providing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations; payroll supervision; month end financial closing and monthly financial reports preparation; monthly result analysis and variance investigation; assisting with the annual budgeting process; accounting record management; preparation of the required governmental reports; assisting the VP of Finance as needed. This position is to be the point person for all audits including external audits that are required.

Qualifications include proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word along with above average verbal and written communication skills.  Advanced Excel capability is considered a plus.  The candidate must possess the ability to problem solve with strong aptitude for mathematics along with the ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information with integrity.  The candidate must have at least 5 years manufacturing accounting work experience.  The core values we are seeking in a candidate are a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in your work along with a passion for continuous improvement.  This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.  CPA preferred, physical demands include sitting for long periods of time.

Welder 5 Positions (2nd Shift; 3 pm-11 pm)

This position is responsible for the welding of products. Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools. Weld parts as necessary to meet production standards. Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches, various gauges, and other tools. Perform source inspection using a traveling check sheet on every unit. Perform daily TPM. Uses stop-the-line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns. Performs daily duties per work instructions/standard work. Completes all daily data collection as established. Must perform daily 5S activities, use LEAN applications and work as a team. Must be able to read blueprints. Must have a good understanding of inventory control. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must have or be able to obtain a fork truck license. Must recognize the importance of working in a safe manner. Ability to understand what constitutes quality products. Possess basic math skills. Average or above-average skills in numeric and visual recall. Must be computer literate. Welding experience preferred.  Requires high school diploma or GED. Welding school preferred.  The successful candidate must complete the required Reyco Granning weld certification. Must pass an annual weld test. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures. Must have excellent work history and provide work references.
