Vice President of Finance

Reyco Granning, LLC is currently seeking to fill an opening for the VP of Finance.  This position will report to the President.  The VP of Finance is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and other regulatory and advisory organizations.  The VP of Finance will apply practices and techniques common to the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities include performing cash management, including review of P/R, A/P, and A/R function and projects cash activity for R G cash management system to contain borrowing within budget guidelines; preparing and analyzing monthly and annual financial reports, including coordination and review of annual external audit and physical inventory to ensure timely reporting; comparing results to budget and developing pro-forma projections to identify potential problems; managing general accounting responsibilities including standard cost development/updates (material, freight, labor, & overhead) and analysis/ recommendations around variances to those cost standards; approving capital investments and reporting inventory valuation.

This position is to coordinate establishment of budget and business plan with peers to identify a revenue plan, material standards, variable operating costs, and investments; provide monthly performance variance relative to budget for peers, President and Board of Directors facilitating corrective action planning; enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company; respond to inquiries from RG Management, external auditors, bank, customers, suppliers, etc., requesting financial information to ensure compliance with RG policies, including preparation and review of additional documents for potential Due Diligence work; review activity of working capital investment, such as inventory turns, capital requests, and new program tooling recovery to ensure sub-systems properly collect data reported to the general ledger; staff, develop and motivate departmental staff to provide the needed technical support that will contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts and opportunities to eliminate waste; review, monitor and adjust employee benefit plans (401k, healthcare, etc.) to remain current on benefit issues and assure financing is within guidelines of budget and business plan;  monitor and review information relating to compilation of data and coordination of tax payments as well as owner distributions; review and coordinate the Human Resource department’s recommendations for salary administration.

The VP of Finance is to be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the company may enter to protect the assets of the company.  As trustee for the employees’ 401k savings plan, responsibilities include obligations pertaining to plan design, legal compliance, loan review, plan insurance, and investment choices.  Qualifications include seasoned cost accounting experience, including five years of management experience, a basic understanding of the various treasury functions relating to the acquisition of funds and cash management, and a thorough understanding of audit controls; CPA; general knowledge of computer systems and finance applications. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related field along with ten years of experience in financial analysis, including knowledge of balance sheet and income statement relationships allowing immediate analysis of reserves and account activity and experience in a manufacturing environment.
